H-ITT releases version 1.6.0 of its suite of software applications!

Tuesday August 24, 2004:

H-ITT's New version 1.6.0 of its software is the result of 3 years of innovation.

Hyper-Interactive Teaching Technology (H-ITT), a leader in hand-held remote technology for the classroom, today announced the release of Version 1.6.0 of its suite of software applications.

"We've been using the H-ITT system for 2+ years now with thousands of students a semester and we love it. Class attendance and student understanding in our general physics courses has increased dramatically. I've tried several other student response applications and HITT's software is the best I've seen. Their software seems to deliver the most features already built into it and H-ITT seems to implement new features the quickest as users like myself make suggestions." says John Mocko of the University of Florida.

Since its inception, H-ITT's software has been regarded as the most innovative in the industry. This release - the result of 3 years of intensive development - enhances and expands the already impressive capabilities of the H-ITT Aquisition and Analyzer programs.

Fundamental to the design of these improvements has been the insightful feedback from H-ITT's loyal and ever-expanding user base.

Key features of this upgrade are:

  • XML class files, which enable users to manually edit data if desired
  • BlackBoard integration, which allows grades to be exported in a format readily importable into Blackboard
  • Custom ordering of response box grid via the roster
  • Availability of Yes/No/Abstain and True False questions
  • Ability to reveal the student responses

Quite significant is H-ITT's move to XML-formatted class files. This initiates the second phase of H-ITT's cross platform initiative , the ultimate step being the release of the Analyzer for both Linux and the Mac OSX platforms. The XML class files keep the H-ITT class files platform- independent, allowing H-ITT users to exchange data between platforms with ease.

In addition, H-ITT's XML class file is now an open standard, which allows H-ITT users and third-party independent software vendors (ISVs) the ability to create H-ITT-compliant XML files that can be readily loaded and graded with the Analyzer. In addition, it allows ISVs and users the ability to integrate H-ITT data with their own database or grading infrastructure.
