H-ITT Unveils Plans for New Two-Way Smart-Link System!

Friday September 17, 2004:

H-ITT's New Two-Way Smart-Link system eliminates the need for a central display!

Hyper-Interactive Teaching Technology (H-ITT), a leader in hand-held remote technology for the classroom, announces the development of an entirely new remote with two-way infra-red link technology (patent pending). H-ITT calls the new two-way technology "Smart-Link" because it eliminates the need for a central display – the remote itself indicates successful signal transmission.

An added bonus of the Smart-Link technology is faster response collection times. This enhancement is in addition to the recent 10x boost provided by the high-speed system. Simply put, the Smart Link technology creates a two-second "time out" only if a student's response has been successfully recorded to reduce signal traffic, thereby increasing system speed.

This release is yet another of H-ITT's major advances in audience response technology.

The new Smart-Link Remote offers even more flexibility and options to students and instructors. The remote, as shown to the left, is slightly larger than the previous model to accommodate additional buttons. These buttons create the ability to record digits and letters, as well as to move forward and back for indexing through test questions.

Key Features:

  • Two-Way Infra-Red Smart-Link.
  • Speed Boost, eliminating unneeded transmissions.
  • More Buttons A-J/0-9, Forward, and Reverse.
  • Powered by 9-Volt battery.
  • Two-Way allows professor to address each student's remote individually.
  • No need for projector and screen - remote indicates successful response transmission as well as correct or incorrect response.
  • New remotes are backward compatible with installed receiver base (note, however, that Smart-Link technology is only available with receiver upgrade).
  • New base units are backward compatible with 6-button remote transmitter. The Smart-Link technology is only available with remote upgrade. Only the dual-bulb High-speed 6 button remotes are compatible with the new 2 way base units.
