H-ITT Releases New Two-Way Smart-Link system that eliminates the need for a central display!
Hyper-Interactive Teaching Technology (H-ITT) is pleased to announce the introduction of a newly redesigned hand-held remote transmitter and receiver base unit with a two-way infra-red "Smart Link" signal capability (patent pending). Now the receiver sends a signal back to the remote, assuring the student of successful transmission with a flashing bulb on the remote panel. The central screen display, once required for student ID boxes, is now free for classroom material presentations.
Test users have been impressed with the new system: "H-ITT's new Smart-Link two-way transmitters are a major innovative development in audience response technology. The speed of input confirmation sent back to each unit is amazing. These new H-ITT transmitters almost perform like RF units but at a fraction of the price!", says Harold Horowitz, President of Socratec.
An added bonus of the Smart-Link technology is faster response collection times. This enhancement is in addition to the recent 10x boost provided by the high-speed system. Simply put, the Smart Link technology creates a two-second "time out" only if a student's response has been successfully recorded to reduce signal traffic, thereby increasing system speed.
The new Smart-Link Remote also offers more flexibility and options to students and instructors. The remotes, shown below, have 13 buttons which create the ability to record digits and letters, as well as to move forward and back for indexing through test questions. The case was redesigned to accommodate the additional buttons, as well as to provide more durability. See below for pictures of new remotes.
