H-ITT releases major upgrade to their student response technology
Friday March 12, 2004: H-ITT's audience response system gets 10× speed boost!
Hyper-Interactive Teaching Technology (H-ITT), a leader in hand-held remote technology for the classroom, today announced a 10× speed increase in their response system. H-ITT is already a world leader in hand held technology and this speed increase makes their audience response system able to be utilized successfully in classes as big as 1000 students. This speed enhancement combined with H-ITT's multi port system makes it even easier for large classes to benefit from the response technology.
H-ITT's new high speed remote remains backward compatible with the old system allowing an easy migration path for existing customers. Current customers with the low speed system can simply add chains of high speed receivers. As more students purchase the high speed remotes they will notice decrease in response collection times.
The foundation of H-ITT is both its low-cost hand held device that enables students to respond electronically to questions or quizzes provided by professors in the classroom, and its powerful and free software that enables the students and instructors to maximize the potential of the technology. Student feedback can be viewed in real-time allowing instructors to adjust their teaching methodology based on the level of comprehension. The software automatically grades the responses and even e-mails the students their results after each class period.
All users should upgrade to the new 1.5 version of the software that can be utilized with both low and high speed receivers. If you plan to utilize both high and low speed receivers in one classroom, do not mix receivers types within a chain. Keep all high speed and low speed receivers on their own chain. The program will recognize both the types of receivers. However you cannot mix receiver types within a chain. You must inform the software which receiver type each chain is composed of.
