Pearson Custom Publishing and H-ITT enhance education through student response technology
Thursday February 12, 2004: H-ITT's audience response system augments education.
Pearson publishing, the worlds largest text book publisher, and Hyper-Interactive Teaching Technology (H-ITT), a leader in hand-held remote technology for the classroom, today announced a strategic partnership that will advance the use of hand held remote technology in the classroom. Through the partnership, H-ITT's Audience Response System can be integrated into any of Pearson Custom publishing's text books content to provide instructors immediate electronic feedback on student comprehension in the classroom.
The foundation of H-ITT is both its low-cost hand held device that enables students to respond electronically to questions or quizzes provided by professors in the classroom, and its powerful and free software that enables the students and instructors to maximize the potential of the technology. Student feedback can be viewed in real-time allowing instructors to adjust their teaching methodology based on the level of comprehension. The software automatically grades the responses and even e-mails the students their results after each class period.
Instructors can use H-ITT for free! Here's how:
